How Having Patience Makes You Happier

There are many times when I feel like giving in to the pressures of life.  Like right now – I’m so over the Covid!  I want to travel to see my family,  I want to hug my friends,  I want my kids to go back to school, I want to go shopping without looking like I just stepped out of the OR!

People think that because I’m a life coach that I’ve got it all figured out.  But let me tell you, things sometimes affect my mindset negatively also.

So what do I do?  I step back and reset.

I think of ways to enhance my knowledge.  I seek support and guidance anywhere I can.  I look for the good and be grateful.

I counteract that frustration with patience.

And probably the most effective tool I use when a situation is irritating, exhausting, or frustrating, is I counteract all that frustration with patience.

Did you know that the more patient you learn to become, the happier you will be?

It took time to learn that all the stress and worry was actually my trying to control the outcome of a situation.  Today, I am truly able to say that my victories are a result of patience with myself and with each process. Things take as long as they take, and I am okay with that.

Mostly… = )
